The stile often is seen on a pasture. It was usually used to go over the fence which is for fastening cattle, goats, sheep to the other side; maybe it could be inside or not.

Description About the Poem; Sunrise and Sunset

D1: Imagination the colours. In this poem, Is very important colours as your sight. This poem seems to be impacted from impressionist art. impressionist is famous as showing light changing according to a time. At the morning, you may see a deep blue sight through objects and in the evening, you may also have a sight dyed an orange colours you see. This poem shows the sight of a speaker who written this poem through her window.

D2: At 4 Stanza, Has some ambiguous meaning; double entendre. I think that Dickison shows a young boy and girl who are listen up a nag from a domine shaded in backlight, wearing grey priest; he said: "Okay, Kids It's time to go home.".
However, Emilly Dickison may doesn't want to send directly to us. or She thought as watching that sight that It seems to be with sheep and shepherd in Christian. So, I think this ground is a pasture.

Sunrise and Sunset

 The 1st Stanza (1 verse)
I'll tell you how the sun rose,
 A ribbon at a time.
 The steeples swam in amethyst,
 The news like squirrels ran.

 The 2nd Stanza (2 verse)
 The hills untied their bonnets
The bobolinks begun.
Then I said softly to myself.
"That must have been the sun!"

 The 3rd Stanza (3 verse)
But how he set, I know not.
 There seemed a purple stile
Which little yellow boys and girls
 Were climbing all the while.

 4th Stanza (4 verse)
Till when they reached the other side,
 A dominie in gray
Put gently up the evening bars,
 And led the flock away.
